Working away

Even after my marathon of quilting on Saturday, I hadn't had enough.  On Sunday, I pulled out a UFO and proceeded to do some more quilting on it.  I realize this will be a project that is on the go for a while, as I seem to need to do denser and denser quilting.

figure 8's in the sashings, continuous curves in the centre blocks

The quilting on this project was started with Don Linn's month as guest expert on Sew Cal Gal's 2012 Free motion quilting Challenge, where I learnt how to create my own stencil for transferring a quilting pattern using netting.  Some simpler designs in the middle blocks, but once I finish all the dense echo stitching on the outer edges, I may need to go in and fill some of those other spaces more densely to keep the quilt balanced and flat.  We'll see!

Happy quilting!
