this happens quite easily for me! I should have been working on postcards and quilting my workshop sampler, but instead I started playing in my scraps and created this
It is based on Elizabeth Hartman's Mod Mosaic technique and was a result of working our next challenge for the Vancouver Modern Quilt guild. It's just the top, as I did manage to pull myself away and work on what I was supposed to be doing for little while!
How about you? Are you easily distracted too?
One good thing, if I'm sewing and quilting, I'm not fabric shopping, so I've got another week under my belt with no fabric bought!
Happy quilting!

Distracted? My middle name(s) should be, "Ooooh, shiny!" because I am easily distracted by all kinds of stuff. I know better than to start the challenge before getting a few "must do" projects behind me.
I get very distracted too...happens far too easily. I love your distraction!!
I think it is in the job description of Quilter! I never believe those people who say they complete every project and tidy up before starting another one. Honestly. Who does that? You can be sure I'll be making my challenge block on the afternoon of the meeting! Your's looks fantastic here, Janet.
Oh I love your pillow and the link to the technique. Aren't the modern quilt guilds fun?! The Philadelphia MQG is doing a mug rug pass next month and a monochromatic quilt challenge for March. Way too many distractions!
Janet, your pillow is wonderful, I love the colours you have chosen to make it with.
There is always next week to fabric buy. :)
Distractions can be fun! Love the mosaic style. I found your blog from your entry on this week's quilt contest on the Quilting Gallery blog. I voted for you -- the purse was darling -- and *definitely* not square! :)
I love the fabrics in this distraction. Oh my how beautiful.
