Okay, so I'm not getting a lot done on my UFOs at the moment, but I am stitching and quilting and having fun! And that is the key thing - right?!
Yesterday I finally made a start on my Tangled Textiles challenge - Blue is the theme and I had a few things going on trying to get the old mojo flowing. Lucky for me after looking at various bits and pieces of blue, inspiration did arrive.
some of the blue I was looking at - my indigo dyeing |
After letting those ideas percolate overnight, I made some decisions and started quilting. Here's some of where I've gotten to so far.
I'm happy with it so far - what do you think??
Happy quilting!

Fabulous!
Looking good, can't wait to see it finished!
It's a Superman feather! I love it!!!!
That looks terrific. What a great idea to try things out on plexiglass first!
All I can think to say is, WOW! Beautiful work as usual, Janet!
Your blue pieces look fabulous!
Such a clever idea with the plexiglass! When you’ve decided about the quilting pattern do you draw anything on the fabric, or just quilt? It looks so beautiful!
Looks great so far ... look forward to seeing more as it progresses :)
I can only wish and hope that one day I will get as skilled as you. Your work is amazing. I'm anxious to see this quilt completed.
Fantastic! I always agonise over the quilting design. These days I send most quilts out so that I'm relieved of the decision making process.
It looks great.
Great idea using the plexie. The quilting is looking great.
Better you than me, obviously! I LOVE it Janet. Thank you so much - I'm super excited!! Although I can't wait for it to be complete, please take as long as you need.
Your feather quilting is so gorgeous! Have you thought about writing another tutorial?
I think it is fantastic, I wish that I could do that. You just drew it on freehand? Wow!
