Welcome to my world where I try to figure out what I'm going to do next! These days, it is mostly quilting, but you never know what it might be... come find out with me!

what comes next?

Now that I've finished this one, I'm calling it Citrus Sisters.

Citrus Sisters
Citrus Sisters - my take on the Seven Sisters design
it is time to work on something a little smaller and quicker to get finished.  One of my guilds, the Blue Mountain Quilters Guild, is doing a February challenge to get more quilts for the local NICU.  Pinks, reds, whites and hearts is what they are looking for.

I very quickly put this one together from my stash
heart baby

and should have sat right down and quilted it right away, but I had an idea, and that meant digging into my scrap bins and playing for a while.  This is what I've come up with so far,

scrappy heart

with the scrappy borders all laid out ready to stitch together and then apply.

I'd better let it sit for a little bit and get back to quilting the first one, otherwise I'll have nothing to take on Friday night!

Happy quilting!

I love "Citrus Sisters'! I am hoping that you will bring it to show tonight at stitch so I can touch it in person!

I can't believe the amount of work you get up to! Every time I think of piecing, I just decide to do something else, lol!

Citrus Sisters!! Great name. And you know I love the quilt.
The preemie quilts in progress are just so sweet. I love the simplicity of the floating heart.
The pieced one is beautiful.

Citrus Sisters is lovely. You certainly have allowed your imagination to wander four the heart piece. Look forward to seeing the other quilt that has emerged from this.

I really like the heart quilt with the whites and creams. It has an aged, antique feeling.

Citrus Sisters is fabulous! And I love the scrappy heart quilt! I hope you bring them both to the VMQG meeting tonight.
