Today is reveal day over at Tangled Textiles. Our theme this go round was Artistic License. While I had a bit of a struggle deciding which way to go with this, I ended up drawing my inspiration from
Piet Mondrian, a Dutch painter.

Oooo, love it!
ReplyDeleteI have actually heard of Mondrian! ;) Color block is always so cool. Love the gridwork quilting. I have to go checkout the others.
ReplyDeleteI like this style, myself. How great is your dense lines and then the contrasting open spaces. Lovely
ReplyDeleteHi Janet,
ReplyDeleteAfter your comments on my blog I had to come over and see what you were up to. I really like the clean lines of this piece and the added texture that the quilting gives. It really takes the blocks to the next level.
A really great piece and you can certainly see Mondrian's influence there.
