This week, in between visiting new little ones, I managed to get this one quilted and almost bound - a bit more stitching and it will be done.
But before I got it finished, I decided I needed to work on my Trellis quilt. The top is done.
But, instead of getting it sandwiched and the quilting started, I decided I needed to make a Wine gift bag for the CQA / National Juried Show.
So, how are you at staying focused on a single project?
Happy quilting!

and with Sarah for a Whoop Whoop
I'm as unfocused as they come....:)
ReplyDeleteI promised myself when I started quilting... That I would not be an unfinisher. So I do try to stick to one project until it is complete, whenever possible. Love the swirly heart quilting on your sweetheart quilt. And the colours in your trellis quilt. Gorgeous work!
ReplyDeleteAs I am sure you well know I am totally scatter brained and can't ever keep my mind on any one thing for long. You, however still seem to get some lovely work done
ReplyDeleteI don't call it a lack of focus, I call it a rotation. Sounds more deliberate!
ReplyDeleteLove your Trellis quilt - is it your own pattern?
The wine bag looks lovely. Makes me wish I was a delegate to Quilts Canada.
ReplyDeleteI hear you! I like how Jackie refers to it - rotation. :) Beautiful projects, Janet!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely challenged! LOL
ReplyDeleteWould love to be on your gift list..lol. Fantastic projects. Love the Trellis quilt and the quilting on the first one is stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThese are great projects and look at what you've accomplished!! I call this multitasking! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteOh dear...this post sounds like I'm reading about my self...but variety is the spice of life.
ReplyDeleteI totally suck at it!!!! So you are in good company : ) those swirly hearts are so cute, I will try them one day Yay for new little people to snuggle!!
ReplyDeleteI am so scattered! I think I have Crafters' ADD! Your work is as beautiful as ever!
ReplyDeleteWell everything you are working on is beautiful. I love the heart you quilted into the heart quilt.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid that I hop around a lot. Really a lot. I always resolve to find better focus and then.......LOL
For being so unfocused you sure get alot done! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFocus??? What's focus? Your work is great, I especially love the wine bag.
ReplyDeleteYou may feel that you lack focus but you get so much done.
ReplyDeleteOh I wish I could just work on one thing at a time! I keep starting new projects! Maybe I should set myself the task to finish all the wipe next month! YES I SHOULD!

Really lovely heart quilt. The border quilting is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, jump from project to project. But I think it keeps me from getting bored with any given project. Love the quilt with the Bliss fabrics, one of my very favorite lines. And that heart with the swirl, LOVE it. I'll have to give that a try.
ReplyDeleteI love the border quilting on the heart quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm generally sewing to a deadline (like right now for the CQA Trend-Tex challenge). If I don't have a deadline, then I too can easily be distracted by a new project.
