Colourblock

Today is reveal day over at Tangled Textiles.  Our theme this go round was Artistic License.  While I had a bit of a struggle deciding which way to go with this, I ended up drawing my inspiration from Piet Mondrian, a Dutch painter.

I have actually heard of Mondrian! ;) Color block is always so cool. Love the gridwork quilting. I have to go checkout the others.

I like this style, myself. How great is your dense lines and then the contrasting open spaces. Lovely

Hi Janet,
After your comments on my blog I had to come over and see what you were up to. I really like the clean lines of this piece and the added texture that the quilting gives. It really takes the blocks to the next level.

A really great piece and you can certainly see Mondrian's influence there.
