After a break in December for a trip to Nova Scotia for a 30 years in the making visit home for Christmas, and then dealing with the passing away of my father on New Year's Eve, not a lot of creating was happening. Dad was a good man - kind and fair, and he loved to tinker. He passed peacefully in his sleep after a battle with cancer. He will be missed.
As we all know, life continues and we are getting back to a semblance of normal. I came home to a computer that won't work, so I am now trying to sort out posting via my iPad. Please bear with me as I try and figure out adding pictures!
I have been doing some quilting. These are destined to become pillows in the next couple of days:
Hope to be back soon, happy quilting!
Janet

My condolences on the loss of your Dad.
I'm sorry for your loss, Janet. Even when you know they are better off not suffering anymore, it still hurts.
Condolences, Janet.
I am sorry for your loss. Your dad will always live on with you. I lost my dad also of cancer in 2013.

Sorry, Janet. Yes, the days are just flying by. We're awaiting. Happy New Year!

So sorry to hear about your dad. The quilting seems very appropriate.
Please accept my condolences for your loss, too. It's always difficult to accept. And how rude for your computer to go on the fritz just now! Hope you can get it back up and running soon.
So sorry to read about the passing of your Dad. It is always hard, even when there has been a illness and you knew it was coming - maybe even harder then.
I can see by your quilting that you are thinking of taking part in the new Quiltshopgal FMQ challenge? both your versions are great. I did wonder about doing it, because I have never quilted feathers in my life and thought it might indeed be a good challenge, but I'm not sure I'm going to make the deadline.
