I knew I was going to have a couple of easy and quick finishes, and that was true! These first two are both donation quilts. For some reason I have a ton of Vienna Nights fabrics (by 3 Sisters for Moda), and will be using it up in donation quilts.
the first Finish - Vienna Nights 1
apologies for the lousy pictures! |
second finish - Vienna Nights #2
had fun with the quilting - done on my domestic |
a fun striped and piped binding |
After getting these two done, I started working on my two red and white quilts for the bunkbeds at the cabin. I had a firm idea for one of them, and after a lot of cutting and piecing and cutting and piecing some more, I had one top done.
Bonnie Hunter's Scrappy Mountain Majesties |
But, I decided on this one and work is progressing
I'm linking up to The Needle and Thread Network this week.
Happy quilting!

It must have been hard to choose a single layout. They all look great.
Retreats are so much fun! And look at all that you accomplished. That is a wonderful idea to bring the "Almost finished" and get them done! Lovely completed work!
Retreats are such a wonderful way to recharge! I love your red and white quilts. I recently finished a Bonnie Hunter Mountain Majesty and it is amazing how different and versatile that pattern is.......love it in red and white.
I like the layout you decided on. It's quite different. The others have all been done before. Can't wait until it's completed.
I love all the quilts. I have always wanted to make a red and white quilt.
I really like both your red and white quilt choices and they will play so well together too.
Oh, such lovely quilts for your cabin. Gives me an idea for quilts I want to do for my folks.
I love your Mountain Majestic quilt, looks great in the red & white!
Congrats on the finishes. I love both those red and white quilts. Very bright and bold.
They are all stunning! I am especially partial to that scrappy mountain majesties! Perfect for a cabin.
I really like the one you picked.
I love retreats. They're a great way to make progress.
You have such great ideas about layouts for HST's! I will save this post to my favorites to have a sa reference! Thanks for posting!
Well done on some lovely finishes! Looking forward to seeing the lovely HST quilt on next quarter's list!
