Cottage quilts - a finish!

It is so nice to actually have a finish or two to report!

These two quilts were started in April at the Blue Mountain Quilters Guild Spring Retreat, and I am so very happy that they are done!

Canadian Aztec

HSTs and loopy de loo quilting for the win!

Lightning

They will be packed in my suitcase and taken to Nova Scotia at the end of the month, where they will adorn the bunk beds in our new bunkhouse at the cottage.

(wasn't that polka dot a perfect find in my stash for the binding??!!)

you can see previous posts including these quilts here, here and here.

Happy quilting!

  2. Oh, I just love them! They will be the perfect addition to your bunkhouse. Note to self: add more (much more) red to stash! Where in Nova Scotia do you vacation? I'm up in Cape Breton.

  4. Oh, Janet.....I love your Canadian Aztec quilt!! Love, love, love! I also like the simple quilting on your Lightning quilt. The great loopdy-loop gives the quilt a light and cuddly feel! They will make great additions to the bunks in your cabin! Enjoy your time there!
