Welcome to my world where I try to figure out what I'm going to do next! These days, it is mostly quilting, but you never know what it might be... come find out with me!

It was a productive day!

I managed to get this one finished off.
Star Baby
I like the combination of textures as a result of the different quilting patterns.

The arcs are a little wonky on the outer border, but I can live with it.

Part of the reason for a speedy finish is the machine sewn binding.  I think it looks pretty good.

As soon as I finished this one, I was right on to quilting the next one.
feathered baby
This one did say feathers, so I did get to use my Diane Gaudynski style feather plumes on it, as practice for my February 2012 free motion Quilting Challenge.

I'm liking how it is coming along, too!

Three corners left to do and then the outer border.
more feathers
(sorry night time shots, and just a bit of glare trying to emphasize the quilting)
I was going to echo quilt the background around all the feathers, but I think that will make it too stiff - it is a baby quilt after all, and should be snuggly and cuddly.  We'll see if I decide to do something once the rest is quilted.  Do you suppose tomorrow will be as productive as today?  here's hoping!
Hope you are gaving a good weekend, too!

Happy quilting!

Lovely work, this is - I can see why you are hailed at the sew ins for your FMQ talent!! I'm hoping to get 8 I Spy bags done for my daughter's bday party next week... then some mixed media tags, and maybe one day, back to my own stuff!!

Oh my goodness - you never cease to amaze me. Your work is just incredible! I wish I could spend a day (or a week) with you, learning how to do this!

Beautiful! I've finished a quilt today (my fourth!) and am really pleased with it, but your precise quilting and the binding are something else!

As always an amazing job. I really need to keep practicing so I'll get off the computer now.

Fantastic quilting especially the feathers. WOW!
That was a lot of quilting for one day.

My, it was a productive day - this would take me a lot longer than that. And I doubt it would be as smooth and steady as yours.
Wonderful.
