Details, details!

Today is reveal day for our Architecture theme over at the Tangled Textiles blog - pop on over and see everyone's fabulous interpretations!
Mine is based on a picture I took when I was in Halifax earlier this summer.  I've always liked some of the old stone buildings at Dalhousie University, so this one became my inspiration:

The MacDonald Building, Dalhousie University, Halifax
The MacDonald Building, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS
Being a pretty literal person, here's my version

The MacDonald Building
The MacDonald Building, in fabric
To read a bit more on how I put it together check my Tangled Textiles post.

I'll be back in a day or two to tell you about the fun I had on the weekend doing some indigo dyeing with some quilty friends!

Happy quilting!

Whoa!! Holy Smokes, Woman! That is amazing. The details in the quilting are remarkable. It must have taken quite a while. Brava. :D

Absolutely incredible! To me it looked as if you had "just" printed the photo and embellished it with quilting, but you pieced it - wow.

I just love it, but I can't believe how 3D the chimney stack looks!

Not sure who got my last comment ??? Very well done! The stones are really great. Is it turned or raw edge?
