On the road!

The piece I created for the CQA It's Time for Colour! travelling show is now being exhibited at Satin Moon Quilt Shop in Victoria, along with all the other quilts that have been received.

It will be there for the next two weeks before continuing on its journey. If you can't make it to Victoria to see the exhibit,  all the quilts in the travelling show can be seen in a gallery page that is now up on the CQA website - you can check them out here, and see whether the quilt you are interested in is still available for purchase :)  Remember - its for a good purpose - The Children's Wish Foundation.

I said in my last post that I had a finish to show - instead of working on UFOs that have been hanging around - in some cases for years - I was captivated by 6 little improv pieced squares that were sitting around - I showed you them here and here.  Now, it is a finished quilt.  I like it when I can say that!

Happy quilting!

I really like the look of your finished quilt. Kind of a blend of quilts my grandma made, and the modern quilts that draw me to them. I'm a first time reader of your blog

Hope the travelling show comes to my area. I would just be thrilled to see your quilt in person. Love the quilting on your latest finish.

Good for you. I, also, like this quilt. Think it could be a low volume plaid! I have Scotch blood, ya know! lol

Hi Janet
I left you a comment last time you showed us this quilt which for some reason disappeared into the ether - hope I press the right button this time!
Congratulations on the finish - always satisfying. This is a great little improve quilt and your style of quilting really complements it. I really like 'organic' free hand straight lines - so much more personality!

This quilt's simplicity makes it come alive. I am terrified of sewing straight lines. So nice to see it finished. Your colours remiind me of the Japanese taupes which I have been eyeing lately! Thanks for the heads up for the travelling show. I will have to take a peak.

Such great pops of color in a low volume quilt. And all that great texture. Wow.
Love the little traveling quilt.

Both quilts are fabulous. Do you know if the show will be in Vancouver?
